SUSTAINABLE FIBERS
ABACA and PINEAPPLE FIBER AND PULP SOURCE
We source and process high-quality agricultural fiber and pulp from Costa Rica and Ecuador. These materials have a wide range of applications and can often replace unsustainable sources like fiberglass or steel for reinforcing plastic or concrete. Abaca is renowned for its high tensile strength and saltwater resistance, making it an excellent choice for agricultural, architectural, construction, or marine applications.
Both pineapple and abaca fibers produce high-quality pulp that can replace traditional wood sources, significantly reducing the carbon footprint. Additionally, processing pulp from these agro fibers is much more environmentally sustainable than processing tree pulp. Abaca pulp is particularly valued for its use in specialty papers, including tea bags, currency notes, and other high-strength paper products.
These fibers are also excellent sources of sustainable yet high-performance materials for various textile applications, such as clothing, furniture, and bedding.
